The calendar team had no problem in selecting this model to be in the final twelve. His classic good looks & chiseled body speak for themselves. As for the chosen photograph that made him Mr. February, photographer wanted to juxtapose the models striking angular facial features & the tight curves of his rock hard physique against a graphic background. One of the location scouts remembered an art piece in downtown Miami, Florida. So, we packed everyone into the vans & off we went.
I want my black boots...
When we got to the location, we found it to be perfect. However, a few things slowed production of the shoot. Disagreements between photographer & his assistant photographer. And our handsome college hunk had a few difficulties with the Wardrobe Stylist we'd hired, last minute, in Columbus, Ohio. She may have got in over her head, but the producer of the calendar, John Gilbert Rollason, was fashion savvy and saved the day quite a number of times throughout the trip.
Nonetheless, the outfit came together with some articles of clothing provided by: Tommy at The Beach, South Beach, Miami, Florida. Tensions were on high most of the day on this particular location shoot. Our model, it seems, did not want to wear the shoes the Stylist had picked out for him -- he wanted to wear his black boots. Producer stepped in, said boots -- thus, we had our Male Model in Black Boots.
The final photograph...
Once our model stepped before the camera, tensions eased & the shoot went smoothly. The linear lines of the art works poles, with Miami's downtown skyscrapers as a backdrop, made a perfect bed in which to nestle our Male Model Wearing Boots. All difficulties of the morning passed and we knew we had the perfect photograph.
