Tall dark & handsome are words that best suit our model, Joseph Cua. Upon meeting with him, we knew instantly he was to be a South Beach Male Model. At first, you don't even notice the rippling muscles as your eyes are locked into his gaze. With his thick, wavy, hair, his full lips & masculine jaw-line, Joe has the striking features you'd expect to see on the silver screen. Yet, our South Beach Male Model was attending the University to become a biologist. He certainly didn't look like an biologist we'd ever seen. His looks can probably be traced to his Italian ancestry. His muscles are a product of hard work in the gym and on the football field for two years.
The well dressed man...
In Miami, our South Beach Male Model was always the King of fashion. Whether going to dinner, out for a night on the town or simply hanging in the hotel lobby Joe was the definition of style. In his photo sessions, our model needed the wardrobe stylist to actually down play his clothing. We didn't want anything to distract from his natural sex appeal. This model should be on the runways of New York & Paris.
No skates today...
After a long day in the sun, and many different locations, we didn't quite feel we had the done our model justice. Sometimes the best photograph comes at the last minute in a location that was not planned. Upon heading back to the Kent Hotel, we spotted a truck renting rollerblades. A light bulb went off with photographer get our model on rollerblades! The idea was perfect, but the timing was off. The truck was out of our models size. Nonetheless, our photographer took a few more shots and we called it a day. It wasn't until we looked at the final proofs that we chose the Skates photo for our Mr. April. Joe's eyes simply locked into the camera and we new we had captured our South Beach Male Model!
